CBD Isolate, Broad Spectrum CBD, & Full Spectrum CBD What Is the Difference?
If you are reading this then chances are you are at least familiar with CBD and what it is. Understanding the difference between Isolate, Broad Spectrum and Full Spectrum CBD is key to take your CBD journey to the next level and help you make a more educated decision on what products to introduce into your daily routine.
What is a CBD Isolate?
CBD Isolate is a very common type of CBD and is the purest form of CBD available. So, what is it? Well, it is literally CBD that has been isolated away from all the other chemical compounds that exist in the hemp plant such as CBG, CBN, THC terpenes, and essential oils. All these compounds as well as CBD occur naturally in the hemp plant, but with an extraction process (typically C02 extraction) CBD can be extracted out of the plant and stand alone. This is a go-to form of CBD for people who don’t want any THC in their products or may be sensitive to the other compounds. Here at Savage CBD, we have several products that contain CBD isolate such as our CBD Vape Juice, our 250mg CBD cartridges and our CBD Gummies.
What is Broad Spectrum CBD?
Broad Spectrum CBD is similar to CBD isolate in that it contains zero THC, but it does contain all the other compounds in the hemp plant like CBG, CBN, terpenes, essential oils and flavonoids. Broad Spectrum CBD is a fan favorite for people that can’t have any traces of THC in their system or just don’t want the effect of THC but do want to use a CBD product that contains all the other naturally occurring compounds.
What is Full Spectrum CBD?
Full Spectrum CBD contains everything that the hemp plant contains. Nothing has been removed or isolated. Along with CBD, full spectrum contains THC, CBN, CBG, natural fatty acids, terpenes, and many other compounds. Full Spectrum products are by far the most popular of the three types of CBD and here is why. One reason for its popularity is something called the entourage effect where the effect of the cannabinoids and terpenes work together in perfect synergy and interact with your endocannabinoid system to give you the best results you are looking for. Almost all of Savage CBD products contain full spectrum CBD like our CBD Roll-On, CBD Balm, CBD disposable pens, 500mg CBD cartridges, CBD Tinctures and CBD Soft gels.
Which One Is Right for You?
This is an age-old debate with no clear winner. A lot of people favor full spectrum CBD with the belief that all the compounds in the hemp plant need to be present in a product to get all the benefits of CBD. Some people favor the CBD isolate version because it fits into their lifestyle better. Really the answer is, it is up to you. Try a few different products until you reach the desired results or what seems to work the best for you and your body. The reality is, everyone is different, and CBD will affect everyone differently but hopefully this is some good information for you to navigate you CBD adventure a little easier.
